To join Pak Army as a Medical Cadet in 2023, candidates must fulfill the following educational requirements:

  • Attained minimum 70% marks in FSc (Pre-Medical) or passed ‘A’ Levels in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry with a minimum grade C.
  • Candidates who have passed FSc Part-1 Examination with at least 70% marks and are appearing in FSc Part-2/Final Examination can apply with “Hope Certificates” issued by the Head of their institutions. They must submit an attested copy of the FSc Part-2 Certificate/Mark Sheet to PA Directorate (PA-3C) General Headquarters (GHQ) Rwp within five days of the result announcement. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of their selection process.

Age Limit:

  • The age limit for applicants is 17 to 21 years, which is relaxable for three months in both the upper and lower age limits.


  • This opportunity is open only for male candidates.

Marital Status:

  • Applicants must be unmarried.

Height Requirement:

  • Candidates should have a height of 5 feet 4 inches (162.4 cm).


  • Applicants must be citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit Baltistan.

To register online for Pakistan Army Medical Cadet 2023, follow these steps:

  3. The date and time of the test will be communicated to each candidate via email. Once the date is given, it cannot be changed.
  4. On the specified date, candidates should report to the test center mentioned on their computerized roll no slip.

Selection Procedure

  1. Preliminary Tests:

Preliminary tests for Pak Army Medical Cadet 2023 will be held from 24th July to 11th August 2023. To complete the registration formalities, candidates should report to the nearest AS&RCs (Army Selection and Recruitment Centers) along with the required documents and prospectus fee.

  1. Important Points:

  • Candidates applying for admission as Medical Cadets in the following Army Medical Colleges: Army Medical College, Rawalpindi; CMH Lahore Medical College; Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences; CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences; Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences; CMH Bahawalpur Institute of Medical Sciences; CMH Kharian Medical College, must have passed the current MDCAT (National Medical & Dental College Admission Test) examination conducted by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) with a minimum of 65% marks.
  • Candidates must mention the name of the college they are applying for among the mentioned institutions at the top of the application form (Page 1). They can also prioritize their college choices.
  • During online registration, candidates must carefully select their preferred colleges.
  • Once a candidate is selected on merit for one institution, the selection cannot be changed.
  • Candidates selected for MBBS in any of the medical colleges mentioned above, if they have not appeared/registered for their respective regional exams, will be considered ineligible.
  • The written test will consist of multiple-choice questions from English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Candidates who pass the written test will proceed to undergo physical and medical tests at AS&RCs.
  1. Physical Tests:

Candidates will undergo the following physical tests:

  • 1.6 Km run – 08 minutes
  • Push-Ups – 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Sit-Ups – 20 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Pull-Ups – 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Ditch Crossing – 7′.4” × 7′.4” and 4′ deep
  1. Preliminary Selection:

Candidates will undergo an initial medical test at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs).

  1. Further Selection Procedure:

Shortlisted candidates will receive notices for intelligence/personality tests and interviews from the General Headquarters (GHQ) selection board at Army Medical College, Rawalpindi, through the website and call-up letters. Medical examinations of recommended candidates will be conducted at nearby CMHs (Combined Military Hospitals). The final selection will be based on the candidates’ overall performance.

  1. Academic Discipline:

  • MBBS: Five years of study at Army Medical Colleges in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Quetta, Karachi, Bahawalpur, Kharian & Multan.
  • BDS: Four years of study at Army Medical College in Rawalpindi.
  • After completion of the final professional examination, there will be a 22-week basic training (BMT) at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.
  1. Documents Required at AS&RCs:

Candidates need to deposit the following documents during registration at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs):

  • Attested photocopy of Matric certificate. In the case of ‘O’ Level/’A’ Level, submission of an equivalence certificate issued by IBCC is mandatory.
  • Attested photocopies of computerized CNIC or Form ‘B’ issued by NADRA.
  • Attested photocopies of FSc Part-1 (Pre-Medical) detailed marks certificate and a “Hope” certificate from the Principal of the college, stating that the candidate will achieve a minimum of 70% marks in the FSc Part-2 Examination.
  • Passport-sized photographs, attested and pasted on the application form.
  • If candidates have already cleared FSc Part-2 (Pre-Medical), they need to provide attested photocopies of the Detail Marks Sheets (DMC).
  • Candidates must deposit a crossed postal order of Rs.100/- in favor of Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi. Pay Order/Bank Draft will not be accepted.
  1. Bond:

Finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve in the Army for a minimum period of 13 years. The bond will be applicable upon completion of the MBBS degree course at the respective Medical College.
